The Andhra Pradesh Civil
Registration System Study has been commissioned by Planning
department, Govt. Of AP . The aim of the study is to do a
comprehensive evaluation of the Civil Registration System and Vital
Statistics with special reference to their contribution for
monitoring and evaluation of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)
goals. Six municipalities, six mandals (both revenue and
development) and six panchayata were selected (two from each region
i.e Telengana, Andhra and Rayalaseem) to conduct the study. The
field work was completed and the report preparation is in progress.
