Rules of
The Institute of Health Systems |

|
|
Eligibility: The
following shall be eligible to apply for respective categories of membership: |
|
|
| 1. |
Any person who is of 21 years
age, of sound mind is a graduate from any recognised University and has consistently
evinced interest to pursue or work towards achievement of the objectives of the institute
shall be eligible to apply for membership. |
|
OR |
| 2. |
Any institution, duly constituted
under the relevant law, whose objectives are similar or complementary to the objects of
the institute and has duly resolved in accordance with it's own prescribed procedure shall
be eligible to apply for institutional membership. |
|

|
Application procedure: |
|
|

| 1. |
The application shall be in the
manner to be prescribed for the respective categories of membership. |
| 2. |
Every application for membership
should be sponsored by atleast two members or charter members .No such sponsoring will be
required for institutional membership. |
| 3. |
The application should be
accompanied by an application fee (as may be prescribed by the executive council. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Admission to Membership: |
|
|
| 1. |
The executive council may, if it
is satisfied that the person or the institution has the ability or potentiality to
contribute towards promotion achievement of the objectives; agree to admit the person or
institution as a member into the respective category. |
|
|
| 2. |
The person considered by the
executive council for admission shall upon payment of the membership fee, be admitted as a
member from the date of payment of the fees and shall remain as a member of the respective
category for the respective period in accordance with the amount of fee paid. |
|
|
| 3. |
The rights of a Institutional
Member shall be exercised by its representative specified in the application for
membership or otherwise notified to the Director in this behalf by a competent authority
of the said institution. |
|
|
| II. |
HONORARY MEMBERS: |
|
The Executive Council may elect
as an Honorary Member of the Institute any person who has rendered conspicuous service in
any of the areas covered by the objects of the institute or to the Institute or to any
branch thereof. |
|
|
| III |
HONORARY CORRESPONDENTS: |
|
The Executive Council may invite
and appoint any person or body in any foreign country who has evinced interest or
demonstrated commitment to pursue objectives similar to that of the institute. to be an
Honorary Correspondent of the Institute. |
|
|
| IV |
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: |
|
The Director may, on application
in the prescribed manner, admit as an Associate Member of the Institute any person
interested in the areas of work of the institute or in availing it's services and
facilities for study. An Associate Member shall not be deemed to be a member of the
General Body but will be entitled to avail the services and facilities of the institute as
prescribed. |

| V |
REMOVAL OF MEMBERS: |
|
| 1. |
Any member who has committed a breach of any
of the Rules of the Institute or who has refused or neglected to abide by any of such
Rules or who has committed any act which, in the opinion of the authority or office bearer
competent to appoint the said member,is calculated or likely to bring discredit to the
Institute may be removed from the membership of the Institute by the said authority or
office bearer as the case may be. |

| 2. |
Provided that no order of removal shall be
passed unless the member concerned is given an opportunity of representing his case and
showing the causes why such an order should not be made,in accordance with prescribed
procedure. |
